As per Investopedia “Personal finance is everything to do with managing your money and saving and investing. It covers budgeting, banking, insurance, mortgages, investments, retirement planning, tax planning and estate planning. It often refers to the entire industry that provides financial services to individuals and households, and advises them about financial and investment opportunities.”
Many people find it very difficult to master. Either they fail to understand or get hold of it properly, or simply just drift away with everyday spending are never feel the urge to control their finances.
Personal finance, indeed, is a multi-disciplinary field that requires foundational skills ranging from psychology to negotiation.
